Lenses and Frames

LaCroix Eye Care offers a wide variety of frames and lenses, tailored to fit your personality, and optimized for your lifestyle.

Highlight your features, play with color, and augment vision for different functions such as reading, driving and playing sports. With all the choices available, the experience can be daunting without the right guidance. LaCroix Eye Care in Mt. Clemens makes the choice easy.

Eyeglass Frames

Design, material and treatments are the three components that make up a pair of prescription lenses. It is important to select the right combination of these elements for your particular visual needs and to always consult your eye care professional.

The knowledgeable staff at LaCroix Eye Care will consider long-term wearing comfort, style, features and function when suggesting a new pair of eyeglasses. The eyeglasses become as unique as the person taking them home.

Eyeglass Lenses

Selecting the right eyeglass lens depends largely on its function. From single vision lenses to progressive polycarbonate lenses, we are happy to help you find what best suits your needs. Regardless of your situation, Dr. Ann LaCroix Fredal can help determine what types of lenses will work best for you in terms of comfort, function and design.

Frame Styles

When choosing a frame, the shape and size of the frame should enhance the color of your eyes, complement your skin tone and play up the best features of your face shape.

Most people need more than one pair of glasses, such as one for everyday wear and another for outdoor activities. Having different style frames for different activities and moods makes wearing glasses more fun.

Polarized Sunglasses

Polarized Lenses provide the best vision possible while driving during the day. While ordinary lenses don’t protect against glare, and tinted lenses merely darken what you see and do not actually get rid of glare, polarized lenses protect against glare and offer superior vision. Quality sunglasses provide 100% UV protection and can significantly reduce the risk of vision problems caused by sunlight such as cataracts and retinal damage.

Lens glare makes it difficult to see objects clearly by washing out colors and details, but can be combated by polarized lenses. Looking out through polarized lenses reveals a world where colors are deeper, richer and bolder, and details are clearer and more distinct. Polarized lenses also help reduce squinting, which also reduces eye fatigue, tension and eyestrain.

Anti-Reflective (Glare-Free) Lenses

Glare-Free Lenses provide the best vision while driving at night, reducing the glare caused by headlights of oncoming traffic as well as other lights. Glare-free lenses also have a more attractive cosmetic appearance, eliminating that distracting glare, giving your lenses a crystal-clear look.

Computer Lenses

Computer Lenses are designed for people that spend time working on a computer. Computer lenses operate like bifocal lenses, correcting for computer-distance vision in the top of the lens, and a closer reading distance at the bottom with no lines separating the two sections.

Personalized Progressive Lenses

Personalized Progressive Lenses correct vision at all distances and are a perfect option if you are a multi-tasker, often alternating your focus between objects at great distances. And while standard progressives can often have large distortion zones, personalized progressives barely have any distortion zones and are a great option for everyday lenses.

Digital Lenses

Digital Lenses are actually not a lens at all, but really a process that goes into creating lenses.  In this process, eyes are scanned and a unique lens, tailored specifically to your eye, is created.  Digital lenses give you the best possible vision with sharper sight and more vivid colors, at all distances and in all lighting conditions.
